Lesson Purpose

Students will learn to select key details from a longer text and then summarize workplace texts in order to retain key information.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to read to select the key details of a text and then write a summary. Students will watch the instructor model this process, work with a partner to select details and summarize a text, and then select the details and summarize a new text on their own.
