There are 16 career clusters leading to various career pathways. Instructors can incorporate these clusters into curriculum design and instruction. Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to read to select the key details of a text and then write a summary. Students will watch the instructor model this process, work with a partner to select details and summarize a text, and then select the details and summarize a new text on their own.

I can select key details from a work-related text and write a summary of that text.
