There are 16 career clusters leading to various career pathways. Instructors can incorporate these clusters into curriculum design and instruction. Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Purpose

Through understanding sequenced language, students will be able to follow steps to complete an application process, reflecting both college and career next steps.


Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

·         outline, in proper order, the steps to complete the KCTCS Work-Ready Scholarship

·         research and describe which credentials are eligible for the scholarship

·         write a summary of the scholarship guidelines to share with others

Writing
  • Use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others.

  • Conduct short as well as more sustained research projects based on focused questions, demonstrating understanding of the subject under investigation.

Writing Anchor 6: Level C
  • With some guidance and support, use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others; demonstrate sufficient command of keyboarding skills to type a minimum of one page in a single sitting

  • Conduct short research projects that use several sources to build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic.
