Lesson ObjectivesAt the end of this lesson, students will be able to listen to select the most important parts from a speech and participate effectively in a discussion of the implications of the speaker’s main points. Students will select the most important points in the speech, read the speech with a small group, create two discussion questions, discuss their questions with their small groups, and then discuss teacher and student-generated questions in whole class Socratic seminar. |
