There are 16 career clusters leading to various career pathways. Instructors can incorporate these clusters into curriculum design and instruction. Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Students will use effective communication skills to work together to create a satisfactory and logical presentation on information technology facts and findings since clear communication is essential in the workplace, particulary in IT.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to work with partner(s) to gather and synthesize information technology facts to design, create, and present a satisfactory Prezi based on the rubric.

  • Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. [This includes the narration of historical events, scientific procedures/experiments, or technical processes.] 

     a. Introduce a topic clearly, previewing what is to follow; organize ideas, concepts, and information, using strategies such as definition, classification, comparison/contrast, and cause/effect; include formatting (e.g., headings), graphics (e.g., charts, tables), and multimedia when useful to aiding comprehension.

    b. Develop the topic with relevant facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples.

    c. Use appropriate transitions to create cohesion and clarify the relationships among ideas and concepts.

    a. Use a semicolon (and perhaps a conjunctive adverb) to link two or more closely related independent clauses.
    b. Use a colon to introduce a list or quotation.
    c. Spell correctly.
  • Present claims and findings, emphasizing salient points in a focused, coherent manner with relevant evidence, sound valid reasoning, and well-chosen details; use appropriate eye contact, adequate volume, and clear pronunciation.
