Lesson Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize students about the education, training, and core skills that are needed to succeed in the manufacturing work force and to reinforce the importance of effective communication.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

·         Know that there are varying degrees of education and training for different jobs.

·         Understand the core skills and how to practice them in the workplace.

·         Have in-depth knowledge on effective communication and how to apply it.

·         Understand what it is like to practice effective speaking and listening skills, further reinforcing effective communication.

·         Practice interacting professionally with others.
