Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to teach students the importance of safety in the manufacturing workplace.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

· Define and describe OSHA and its importance for both employers and employees

· Read and summarize an OSHA workplace scenario, highlighting key issues in the scenarios

· Explain why it is important to follow employers’ safety rules
