Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to inform students on the potential hazards of the industrial and general workforce and to reinforce safe  practices to present themselves as professional, safe employees.


Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  •  Describe what safety means in the workplace
  •  Describe what a hazard is and how to avoid it
  •  Recognize Safety Data Sheet pictograms and their general meaning
  •  Fill out basic information on a SDS

I can apply my knowledge of workforce safety to explain three things to include in a workforce’s SDS database.
