There are 16 career clusters leading to various career pathways. Instructors can incorporate these clusters into curriculum design and instruction. Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Purpose

As charts and graphs are used across most disciplines, graphic understanding enables the student to assess large amounts of data in order to recognize trends, compare parts of a whole, or compare two or more sets of information. For example, comparisons of weather data over time are usually represented in graphic form.

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to: identify the main parts of a graph, interpret information presented graphically, and present given data visually.
