Lesson Purpose

Students will need to use the skill of making inferences from texts that they read in order to be successful in reading workplace texts for their future careers and also on the GED and any tests that include reading comprehension.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to make logical inferences after reading texts related to trade jobs. Students will watch two short instructional videos, watch the instructor model making inferences from an article, work with a partner to make inferences after reading a new article, and then work independently to make inferences from the final article.
