Lesson Purpose

Through the use of a fable, The QuiltMakers Gift, students will understand that the giving of their time, talent and treasure will improve the quality of life in their communities.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to describe how characters reveal traits about themselves and their values in a fable. The will recognize family and personal traditions of giving. They will analyze the implications for a community of a lifespan of giving.
