Lesson PurposeOpen up class with a skit (http://www.learnnc.org/lp/multimedia/9245) that students will act in to display how employers and bosses may react to an employee following expectations, and not following expectations. Students playing the employees can read a script expressing displeasure in their employee not following the dress code, for example, and will illustrate to students that not following employer expectations can have consequences. Every job has different expectations. How you interact with coworkers and dress are two prominent examples. Employers express these expectations in handbooks. It is the responsibility of the employee to read and understand these expectations, and prove that they are ready to work. |
