Lesson Purpose

SRNAs deal very closely with death as part of the job. This lesson helps students learn about bodily changes during the dying process through the article and to think about death in a different way through the poem.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

·         complete a progressive handout discussing what happens as a person freezes to death, citing at least 8 pieces of evidence

·         interpret the meaning of Death as described in a poem

·         interact with classmates to discuss death and dying

·         identify the importance of grasping death in the SRNA workplace
