The purpose of this lesson is to teach students the necessary strategies to compare two topics and form an opinion supported by facts so that they can clearly express their ideas.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • compare and contrast concentration camps and Japanese-American internment camps
  • form and support an opinion in response to an essay question
  • explain and discuss the reasons for concentration camps and Japanese-American internment camps
