Adult education services will include workforce preparation activities and training for specific occupations; this will allow students to achieve their educational and career goals. Lesson Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to teach SRNA students how to communicate verbally and nonverbally with residents because in order for a SRNA to implement resident care they have to understand their wants, needs, and feelings.

Lesson Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

Demonstrate effective communication skills
Identify the elements needed for good communication
Describe how to use verbal and nonverbal communication
Explain the methods and barriers to good communication
