This lesson will teach students by way of ratio/proportion, how to calculate parts, percents, and wholes and apply them when creating a professional budget (e.g. Event Planner) or a personal budget.
At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
Explain how to determine the part, percent, or whole by way of ratio/proportion
Explain a part of a whole has an equivalent decimal or fraction part
Explain why round to a specific place value

I can differentiate between parts, whole, and percent in any given problem, calculate the unknown part, percent, or whole quantity, convert any number to another equivalent form, and round any number to a part or whole place value.
